Day 18- So Many Naps

The best part of today was having the opportunity to take 3 different naps. The first one was when my daughter was at a birthday party, the second was right before going out to dinner, and the third ended about 20 minutes ago (right before my alarm to sneak this writing post in at the last minute).

It was some combination of the cold weather, my exhausting week, pregnancy, and not ever sleeping through the nights anymore that led to this very uneventful day. They didn’t last too long, anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour, but it was just what I needed. I’ll take them while I still can.

I’ve also been having some wild dreams lately, which make sleeping feel not very restful. I’ve had dreams about work, dreams about running late, and countless nightmares which felt so realistic. I’ve been waking up at all hours of the night trying to figure out what is real and what is not, and then struggling to fall back asleep.

Luckily, it’s Saturday night and I do not have anything planned for early tomorrow morning- so here’s to a (hopefully) restful night of sleep!

  2. I, too, remember having VIVID dreams when I was pregnant. Sleep is not restful when that happens and as the bladder gets pressed upon more and more. I hope you have an easy rest of the pregnancy since you’ll want to feel as rested as possible when the baby arrives.
